“I am so busy, I have so much on at work.” Does this sound familiar to you? If you are someone who has hundreds of jobs to do but doesn’t have enough hours in a day, take our advice: you need to start delegating some of your work.

If you think you can do it all by yourself, work those extra hours, grind until you succeed, you need to pause for a moment and ask yourself: Is it worth it? Do I really have to do everything myself?

No, you don’t have to do everything yourself. Here are 5 reasons why you should delegate some tasks to free yourself up.

REASON 1: TIME

Your day is limited in the number of hours you can work. It’s natural that you work on things that are more important and more urgent to you. However, the other things you deem as less important or less urgent never get done. But remember, the other things you don’t have time for still need to be done to achieve your goals.

Lesson: Free yourself up by delegating.

REASON 2: FOCUS

When you have too many things on your mind, it is chaos. You can’t focus on what matters most because your mind is thinking of all the other things you still have to do. Focus is so important though because you deliver higher quality and faster work when you get in the zone.

Lesson: Create an environment for yourself where you can focus by delegating.

REASON 3: MORALE

There’s always one or two things at work that you don’t enjoy doing. When you don’t find pleasure in doing specific tasks but you still have to do them regularly you naturally find work less enjoyable. This is why having someone else do those tasks is helpful.

Lesson: Do the jobs you enjoy doing by delegating the jobs you don’t enjoy doing.

REASON 4: EFFICIENCY

When you try to do everything, your level of efficiency may be at risk. In order to go through all your tasks in a limited time, your output is less than what it is normally. That is why having someone else do the tasks you don’t have time to do is a smart decision. Other people will do a good – if not better – job and you will be happy that the work gets done.

Lesson: Improve your output by delegating tasks to people who have the time and focus to perform them.

REASON 5 – WORK / LIFE BALANCE

Don’t you want to enjoy your hobbies and spend time with family and friends? Every hour and minute you spend doing work is less time doing the things you love outside of work. It is important to have a healthy work / life balance. Don’t forget that.

Lesson: Your work / life balance can improve if you start delegating.

Once you get that you need to delegate, the next question is:

HOW do I delegate?

You can hire a personal assistant to take off some of your workload, but you will have to train and manage them. A new resource is an additional cost to your business.

You can invest in technology and what’s great about it is that it comes with out of the box services that can help you instantly. RiTA is the perfect example. As a digital employee, she costs less than an actual PA and works 24/7, never gets sick.

You can outsource to a third party service provider. Outsourcing is very common and the team at AiRESourcing is trained to do the calls you don’t have time to do.
